Our Search and Evaluation process is based on a three-pronged philosophy:

Multi-Channel Approach – We never depend on outdated contact lists. We blend contacts with conferences, database searches, and eMail / newsletter marketing to surface ideas for evaluation. 

Pause & Question – Hubris is the enemy or process. We believe that pausing and critically questioning the process may result in improvements and adjustments that can lead to success. Course correction is a result of good process, not bad process. 

 

Track Record – We have run a number of scouting processes for clients in the US and Europe. Depending on the criteria, we routinely uncover opportunities which internal teams do not.

Over the past decade, we have run dozens of out-licensing processes. 

We can run full, global out-licensing process, asset-specific processes, or geographically-focused processes…all customized and tailored to your needs and internal team capacity and capabilities. 

Regardless of the project scope, we apply the same approach to each assignment:

 

Asset Preparation – We create and assemble a series of presentations, to be used in different steps in the process. We can also assist in preparing the data room, including folder summaries and confidential presentations which guide prospective partners to find the key data quickly. 

Outreach Plan – We collaborate with our client to develop a plan that identifies the initial list of companies we will contact, how they will be contacted, and how we will deal with unresponsiveness. Our attendance and representation at major partnering conferences is included in our service offering at no extra charge. 

Execution – We methodically execute on our plan, routinely reporting into management on a monthly or biweekly basis. 

Follow Up – We can also assist with any number of tasks, such as confidentiality agreement distribution, data room management, and the like.
